Extraction for Kinah

No this does not mean taking an elite special ops team around the world recovering hostages for money, but rather making a living from collecting various plants, ores, aether etc.

"There be apples here"

The earliest proffession skill you will encounter is the gathering skill, since you begin the game with this. It starts out as the collection skill, which will take you up to level 10, at which time you ascend. When you reach that point you will begin to extract materials instead of collecting them, allowing you to gather essences from ores, plants, trees, gems and aether nodes.

While everyone can collect any of the materials, it is a tough long grind to level up extraction and is very pricey to master, easily over 2 million Kinah, people are willing to pay a lot for the rare materials that others gather.

The first goal with extraction is just to keep up with your level. Basically, everytime you see a node, you extract from it. This might take a while, especially when entering a new area and you find that all nodes are higher level than you. There is a chance you will fail on nodes anywhere 20 levels below you so it can take some time.
On the plus side however, you can gain experience from these nodes and there are some quests that give you addtional experience from gathering certain materials so if you have a good imagination, you can pretend that apple bush is a 30ft demon from the abyss (although justifying the apples you collect are epic giant swords of doom might be more difficult).

"No apples here"

Before level 10 it is not really viable to make any kinah at all from what you collect, but once you reach level 10 you can start gathering Aether, whch floats above most major towns and cities.
Level 40 nodes and above is where profits can really be started to attain, however by far the best are those that can proc. rare materials or gems, and this being said, mainly ores.
There are several hotspots that can produce gold and platinum nodes along with gems which are worth a good amount of kinah.
Of course it is better to find areas where you can farmm monsters at the same time due to being able to gather a larger number of items, including rare equipment drops for greater kinah returns.

Armorsmithing Tips

Making Kinah with Armorsmithing is not one of the easier professions to work with.
For starters it will take hours of hours of hours of recipie crafting and work orders.
In addition Armorsmithing can esily cost an extreme amount of Kinah pumped into it to raise it to a decent level for when it becomes profitable.
Although selling armor for around the mid level 20 region is a good starting point for when players start venturing into the Abyss, the real business opportunities will open up at end game.

'Forge or Spaceship?'

Once you attain 450 Armorsmithing skill and can start crafting the high end armor, it is time to spend many an hour in the Abyss. Being in the Abyss will give you many things needed for the goal of creating the very best. Firstly you are going to need to load up on Divine Power and Aether. Divine power can be gathered from killing the various Balaur monsters in the zone. Always try and work towards controlling as many fortresses as possible as this allows you to buy much more of the rare recipes that are available at this level and up.

In addition it will be necessary to gather more crafting material. This cane take a huge amount of time since many Unique and Legendary items use between ten and fifty materials each.
It is possible to find what you need straight off the market but this will cost alot of money, at times an extreme amount of money.
Once you have gathered all the items you need it is time to use Divine Power to try and proc. higher level armor out of your gathered recipes. This process can be very hit or miss, so it is advised to be at level 450 Armorsmithing already as this way you will minimize waste.

'Work Work Work'

When you have made that super rare armor, unless you want to keep it for yourself :P, you can either sell it on the Trade Broker, your Personal Store or via word of mouth. You have to be aware that it can take a long while at times to sell armor because there is always a limit on the market. Be patient and be realistic about profit margins and you will always attain a good chunk of Kinah in return. Word of mouth can work in several ways well. Being known as polite and helpful can always drive business to yourself and then you can find people to hire your services in advance, at times lowering the drain of your own resources since often people can suplly many materials towards the end product.

In the end, being a well known Armorsmith on your server can lead you down the path of fame and riches, but patience and diligence in your work will always play a key factor.

Cooking for your Kinah

Or even Kinah for your cooking. Out of all the professions in Aion, Cooking is one of two that lets you sell consumables to others.  It's main focus is the creation of stat boosting foods, which in turn are highly valuable for PvP, end game raiding and farming with less downtime.
Unfortunately the ability to make solid profits is difficult for many due to demand and location.
Below are a few tips to make some decent Kinah with cooking.

"Ye olde Iron Chef style Kitchen"

Luckily cooking is one of the few professions that will bring in a little profit before reaching Master status, that being said, aiming for 399 skill as soon as possible is advised and then start collecting rare recipes and ingredients.  There are more than 50 materials used in cooking and even more reagents and drops from monsters out and about, so it isn't an easy process to farm some of the rarer ingredients.
Rather it is a good idea to keep an eye on the Trade Broker for when prices drop on which ever items you need.  This will happen quite regularly as many many people just sell off everything they gather as soon as they can just to empty out their bags and they don't realise the items worth.
Having your warehouse stock-piled with large sums of materials is never a bad thing, especially for when you wish to use them for those really good recipes.
Remember to check the Abyss whenever you get a chance for the rare recipes.  You can only get these when your faction controls the fortresses, so it is good to always keep an eye out on that.

                        "Perfect Cooking Clothes"

Turning your Ingredients into Profit:
It is best to focus on a few different food types.  The best way to go about this is to know your customer (before they know you), by this i mean the best places usually to set up store is in the Abyss or outside an instance.  This is because of the immediate demand that will appear here.  Focus on food types that offer stats you know players will be needing in your spot, these include things like Magic Boost, Attack Power, Critical Hit and Flight Time, basically anything that will buff powerful combat stats.  Remember to use a creative tag for your store and become active in chat drawing people in.  Don't spam your goods, as this just annoys people and half of your customers will put you on ignore rather than putting Kinah in your wallet.

The Kozen Guide

Aion is a new state of the art game recently Released in the Usa and Europe.  Featuring stunning graphics, spectacular pvp battle and a unique player versus player versus enviroment system (PvPvE).

Many have complained that this game is a 'grind' but that is more due to not knowing the best method of leveling efficiently.

Kozen has come out with a great guide that allows you to level through the entire game by questing rather than grinding. Both veterans and new players can benefit from this as it contains enough for the most hardened power leveler but yet is simple enough to understand if this is your first mmoprg.

Kinah is the currency of Aion and as you journey through the game it becomes more important for use in tradeskills and  upgrading armor and weapons.
Noone needs to ever buy Kinah for real life money.  For one it will put you out hundreds of dollars and secondly it will risk your account being banned.
The Kinah guide teaches you how to use the Auction House, use private stores and make kinah just from questing in the best ways possible.

With the Abyss and Pvp Guide you can learn the best tactics involved in fortress battles, along with how to defend and attack them.  There is also a wealth of information on how to capture one of the 31 rare artifacts found throughout the Abyss.  Learning how to earn Abyss points and gain ranks the best ways will help as you progress in the Abyss slaughtering all those that oppose.
